The running and keeping of public security shall fall on the President of the Republic, via the relevant ministry.
Disposition, organisation, and deployment criteria for the police forces shall be established in the National Policy for Public Security. The law shall regulate the validity, scope, and mechanisms for the elaboration and approval of said policy, which shall include gender perspective and interculturality, as well as full respect for international law and fundamental rights.
