All individuals are entitled to seek and receive asylum, pursuant to domestic legislation and international treaties signed and ratified by Chile and currently in force and effect. A law shall govern the procedure to file for and be acknowledged the condition of refugee, as well as the specific guarantees and protections set forth in favour of refugees or individuals seeking asylum.
