It is the duty of the State to protect marine and maritime-coastal spaces and eco-systems, fostering the various vocations and uses associated to them, and ensuring, in every case, their ecological preservation, conservation, and restoration. The law shall establish their space organization and integrated management, by means of a differentiated, autonomous, and decentralized treatment, as applicable, based on territorial equity and justice.
