Article 15, Plurinationality, legal pluralism and interculturality

Structure, integration, and procedures of jurisdictional function are defined under the principles of plurinationality, legal pluralism and interculturality.

When dealing with indigenous individuals, courts and their officers shall observe an intercultural approach in the treatment and decision of matters within their competencies, taking consideration of the customs, traditions, protocols, and regulatory systems of the native peoples, in accordance with the international human rights treaties and instruments ratified.by Chile.
